Potty Thoughts

Have you ever sat in the jon, and thought about stuff? Bet you have :P
Well, these thoughts always seem to plague my mind, even if I'm not on the pot :D

Potty Thought #1 : How do archaeologists find stuff buried deep underground?
Well, doesn't it bother you that people are always excavating and finding buried treasure? I mean, where does the earth come from to bury stuff underground?
Is the earth's diameter constantly increasing? Seems to me as though it is. See, if something gets buried, then technically the level of the ground over there would have risen over time? So that means mud/earth has been deposited over there? Which implies that there should be a cavity somewhere (WHICH DOESN'T EXIST!!!)
So, my funda is that the earth's diameter is increasing. Else, the mountains should have started shrinking in height (if its all the silt that is getting deposited - which aint happening either) .....

Potty Thought #2 : Gay couples symbolise true love
Have you ever thought about it - why do people fall in love with members of the opposite sex? Yeah, you might say it's for the attention, the love, the comfort, the faith etc etc etc. But then, don't you get that from friends? Family? The only reason I can see as to why people get into relationships with members of the opposite sex is for the "action". I mean... Come on, think about it. Your significant other has "parts" you dont have, which makes it all the more interesting and "nice". But on a more serious note, gay couples are in it out of pure love. Lust is not the driving factor, unlike straight couples (as their partners have what they have). Now, why are do straight people get into a relationship? It's more out of lust. I mean, they get the love and attention and faith, trust blah blah from their folks/friends too. But the partner adds the 'zing' to the whole thing.

Think about it :)

You And I...

You sat away, lost in thought
I waited patiently, but troubled, for you.
Somehow seeing you worried made my heart reach out,
'Coz I didn't know if there was anything I could do.

I knew cascading thoughts besieged your mind,
I ached to look inside your head.
Help you sort out what it was that was eating you,
But I stayed away, as you had asked, instead.

And then you took my hand in yours,
My heart clenched several times.
For in your eyes there was warmth and understanding,
Made me want to write prose and rhymes.

We've had some good times together,
Laughing and talking, seems like time stood still.
Felt like we've known each other forever,
Every void, complementing me, you've seemed to fill.

The other day you looked all serious,
You held my hand in yours.
I smiled, as I usually do, when you did so,
Always reminded me of a walk along the sea shores.

A ring you slipped onto my finger,
Time stood still,a moment of pure rapture.
Ecstasy had no limits for me then,
For my heart, body and soul you had captured.

Blank

Blank... Blank blank blank blank blank! That's exactly what's on my head right now!!

Arbit thoughts are hovering around here n there, and none seem to materialise! Sometimes you just feel like doing absolutely nothing! And yet that's the time you wish you were occupied, had tonnes and tonnes of things to do.. So much that you didn't have time to message/mail or even answer your phone!
And the exact opposite happens when you do have something to do! That's when all you feel like doing is wasting time and doing absolutely nothing :D

It's fun trying to cheer someone up... And you feel all the more special if it works.. And it's probably the best and nicest feeling in the world when you are cheered up by someone :)

I got a cute little hamster for my birthday... One tiny, cute, furry lil' thing :D I've named him Fuzzy as he looks like one fuzz ball :D I can't believe someone would actually gift me a pet on my birthday.. It's probably the best, and the most different gift ever :)

Blah! :)

Emotions..

Hmmm.. Sometimes I wonder... What is affection.. Is it a feeling/emotion reserved for relatives? family? friends? loved ones? Is it similar to love?
When do you say you are attached to someone? When you worry about them? About their safety? When you wait for their message/call saying that they have reached home safely?
Or is it when you end up loving their family members? Asking about their well being? Whether they are fine?
Or is it a combination of all these emotions, feeling, and reasons for concern?

Sometimes I also wonder what does it mean to love someone... Does it mean thinking about them (in a not so obsessive way)?

What does it mean to think about your friends, who aren't with you? Friends who are half way across the world? Friends who live where you used to live? Friends you grew up with?

How about folks? You live away from your parents.. Think about them every now and then... Siblings.. Cousins, who are like the best friends you could ever have.. :) Cousins with whom you can talk about anything under the sun :) Cousins who you know will not judge you no matter what.. Cousins who are like the best friends you could have ever asked for..

How about the person you love? The person you hope to end up spending the rest of your life with? The person for whom you are ready to do almost anything, in order to keep them happy and to see them smile? The person who's happiness takes precedence over your's :) The person whom when you're with, you don't realise how time flies! The person with whom you have tonnes of fun, get along with their friends, and who's friends actually like you!! :)

Emotions come in varying degrees. I've chosen to think only about the nice ones :)
(might go to the darker side when my mood isn't this rosy :P)

A priceless conversation....

//s is me...... Anonymity helps in cases like this :P

"S, do you know you are getting old?? It's time for you to get married"

"Amma, I'm 22. What is wrong with you????" (shocked expression, which is a waste of energy as the conversation is taking place over the phone... Too bad my mum cant see my shocked-pained expression)

"No, S, you are old. You will become 23 in 3 months"

"Amma, I know how old I am.."

"S, what about that nice boy X? They are such good family friends of our's. Their family is also so nice. We don't even need to ask them. We can just suggest it"

"Oh God, Amma. If you like their family so much get Ram married to X's sister. That way you get the family" (Ram's my younger kid brother - hello! what else did you expect me to say??? X is like a brother kinda friend to me.. eeeewwww *shudder*... incest feelings thinking about him that way... Gawd!)

"Shut up, S. He's a kid" (I bet she is rolling her eyes, but the wheels in her head are turning regarding this idea I have thrown out in the open)

"Amma, look.. I'll find my own boy, ok?"

"By when?"

"By the time I'm 24. M's mom has given her time till this December and I think you're way cooler and should give me time till I'm 24. " (major buttering session started...)

"Ok S. But you're getting old..."

"Amma, 24..."

"That gives you one year and a couple of months"

"Yes. So please do not search for 'boys' until then"

"S, only Hindus, ok?"

"Ok, Amma" (rolling my eyes, and I know she knows I'm doing this as I do not buy this 'religion difference' crap)

"Only Tamil payyan, ok?"

"Amma, what is wrong with you?? Why are you narrowing my choices?"

"No S. Tamil payyan thaan"

"No Amma. Give me a wider spectrum"

"Ok. South Indian only"

"Thank you for giving me 4 states out of 29"

"He HAS to be decent looking"

"Amma, that is by default!!!" :D

"No S. Love is blind. God only knows what kind of a boy you will find. What if he is a porraku pallu payyan?" (buck toothed boy - one who needs braces REAL badly) (can you beat my mum's logic?? priceless I tell you!!)

"Amma, come on... good looks is be default for me, ok? You can judge after I find such a boy"

"Hmmmm, ok..."

"Ok. so no more talking about this until I'm 24. If I find a Hindu, south Indian, decent looking boy by then, I will tell you. If not, once I turn 24, you can start looking. Until then, please please please do not bring this topic up again"

"Hmmm... Sheri"

Well, I was pretty darn pleased with myself after this (about a month ago). At least I got her off my back regarding this marriage thingy.
I do not understand arranged marriages. Frankly they scare the shit out of me. How can you marry a total stranger? How can you spend you entire life with someone completely unknown to you?

Anyway, I thought that was the end of it (at least for a couple of months.) But then what do I hear?? My mum was very very interested in some jaadagam that my aunt had and was asking for all possible details....

Sheesh!! Moms I tell you....

Break Ups...

Let's call Girl as G and Boy as B. They were in a satisfied, happy relationship together. Seemed as though they had everything they wanted or would want.
But then one day, something happened. 2 possible scenarios exist:

Mutual break-up : This is probably the best scenario in case of a split. I mean, both are hurting and both will be able to help the other person move along. Not easy, I agree, but slightly better than being separate and having to deal with it on your own.

G/B dumps B/G : OK. Reasons for this are secondary (not immaterial, but then my post isn't about the reasons. It's about the repercussions). One of the two is terribly crushed. If the reason had been because one cheated on the other, then the one doing the dumping (Dumper) will take some time to heal ( come on. They were in a relationship together.. Some emotions and feelings will still be there, albeit for a choot ); but they will heal eventually as they will realise that they were dating a complete loser.
The Dumped (if also a cheater) will feel like shit and should..

However, if the Dumped is dumped because of other reasons, then the process will take more time. I'm not talking about moving on and getting into another relationship; but am talking about completely getting over the Dumper : getting rid of the anger, the bitterness, the resentment, the questions that keep popping up, the twinge of sadness (all of this even if they do get into another relationship)...
The Dumper, on the other hand had reasons. So he/she won't take that long to get over the 'ex'. However, it will pinch for a while that things didn't work out. But that won't last for too long.

Now, I'm not saying that the Dumper is an insensitive, cold hearted person. All I'm saying is because they had a reason, they'll find it easier to move on.

Do girls find it easier to move on? Or vice versa? Frankly, I do not know. Some people I've spoken to say it doesn't matter, as long as you want to move on, you will. But some are of the opinion that girls find it easier to move on, they find it easier to start checking out other guys, and probably go out on dates with them. I somehow do not agree with this. A girl is just as human as the guy. Even she takes time to heal. Probably, because girls find it easier to talk to friends about issues (and I mean, anything and everything under the sun) they move on sooner than the guy, who keeps most of it inside him (as they consider it 'gay' to discuss your feelings and emotions with another guy).

Break ups are shitty. But you have to move on. It does not make sense to think that you should take "this much of time" before getting into another relationship (or think of getting into one) as people will talk shit about you. For all you know, they might already do. So why do you give a shit? As long as you're happy (or become happy), you really shouldn't care about what others think.

Boredee Bore Bored!!!

Oh God... Oh God oh God oh God..... I'm terribly bored... Terribly. Completely. Utterly. Totally. Entirely. Fully. Wholly. Gawd, I'm bored... And I have absolutely no idea what to do. Not even the Devil is telling me something to do in the least.

What do you do when you are bored? Do you swat flies and then dry them in the sun and draw stuff around them to make some awesome pictures? Or, do you arbitly open up some chat window and talk to Strangers? Or, better still do you go to the washroom and pretend to talk to yourself while a person is in the next cubicle?

Yes, there seem to be loads of ideas running in my head, but I'm still bored.

Shopping? (if I had the money, I would go)
Partying? (if I was invited, I would go)
Hanging out with friends? (if they weren't busy, I'd do this)
Chatting with people? (if someone was online I'd do this)
Swatting the flies? (if they were there inside my air conditioned office, I'd do it for sure)

Heh heh heh.. I seem to complain a lot don't I?? well, that's because I'm BORED. Bee-Oh-Are-Ee-Dee : Bored.

The net transfer speed was slow while a horror film was being sent across. Guess even the comps got scared....
Why don't money plants give us money? Wish they did...
A man became pregnant!! Thank God for that... Takes away all the tension from us women folk :)

I'm still bored......
